Tom’s celebration of life will be held this Saturday, July 15, at 1 p.m. In addition to his mother, Renee, he is survived by his sister, Tasha (Brown) Rockey, and her husband, Monty two nephews, Tripp and Cade Rockey, whom he adored and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Īlong with his father, Tom was preceded in death by his stepfather, Russell Brown, and his grandparents. He was an avid Penn State football, Seattle Seahawks, and Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins fan. He had a soft spot for cats, especially his beloved two - Boogie and Bang. Tom’s humor was uncanny, and he came up with the best one-liners. The world will keep spinning without him here, but it will never forget the sound of music that came from that guitar. Tom spent a lot of time with his friends sitting around a campfire picking his guitar. They supported him and enjoyed watching him perform through the years. He and his family had an amazingly strong bond. When Tom picked up his Kramer guitar his talent was evident, and you felt the love of music that he had. He played with many bands locally, including Blackout, Smokin’ Toast, X-it, Fourth Kind, Blackseed and Whitefish, where he wrote some amazing songs. Tom was one of the most talented guitarists you ever witnessed if you had the chance.
